RevitaPro Walkerville Trail Run Challenge
Sunday 22 of October saw us venture out to a little known venue in walkerville called the Aboretum. The night before brought heavy thunderstorms with some vicious winds. The morning dawned with overcast conditions and a slight rumble in the heavens but by the time we were ready to to send the runners on there adventures conditions were perfect for a fantastic day of running.
Although the field was not very large there was some tough competition all the runners gave it there all.
All concerns that the previous nights storm would make for terrible conditions and possibly destroy route marking were quickly abated with the front runners on all three distance commenting on the awesome routes and well marked tracks. As an event organiser it is always immensely satisfying when all the runners get back without anyone losing there way en-route.
A big thumbs up to all the volunteers from Pegasus Riding Club who once again gave up there time to ensure the smooth running of this event.
And finally a big thanks to Nurture Supplements and RevitaPro for donating the prizes. This supplement is definitely becoming a firm favourite amongst those that have used it, so if you have not won a bottle of these capsules go on-line and order your supply today. www.nurtureline.co.za
Sunday the 10th of September brought some hot sunny running conditions, it was as though we bypassed early spring and dived headlong into full blown summer! But this did not deter our trail hardy runners who arrived, bright and early, ready to take on the RevitaPro Klipriviersberg Challenge.
This event brought some new names out of the woodwork, with a few well known faces from the Obstacle Course Racing fraternity who did not fail to impress!
Without taking away from our winners, special mention must go to Mothiba Shai, who at a tender age of 16 took on the very tough 18km route and finished in a very respectable 7th place.
The day ended with lots of smiles and just a few exhausted looking runners but all returned safely and are now looking forward to our next event to be held on the 22 October at the Arboretum in Walkerville.
A big thanks to all our regulars and to the new faces, we hope to see all again at our future events.
